Bug Fixes
Over the last two weeks, we’ve rolled out a major upgrade to Communities on ERGs.io — making it easier for members to connect, share ideas, ask questions, and build real engagement inside their groups.
Here’s what’s new 👇
Communities now have dedicated discussion feeds where members can:
Create posts
Like and comment
Participate in ongoing conversations
Post anonymously when desired
Posts now appear instantly after publishing for a faster, more seamless experience.
Conversations can now go deeper and stay organized.
New commenting features include:
Unlimited nested replies
Visual thread indentation
Color-coded thread borders by depth
Collapse/expand controls for cleaner discussions
Inline reply boxes for faster interaction
Members can now edit their own posts and comments directly within the feed — no page reload required.
Simply hover over your content and click the pencil icon to make updates.
Authors can now delete their own posts and comments with confirmation safeguards in place.
Deleting a comment will also remove all nested replies associated with that thread.
Community admins can now pin important posts to keep announcements, resources, or key discussions visible at the top of the feed.
Pinned posts now include:
Amber highlight styling
“Pinned” badge indicators
Stable positioning even as new posts are published
Members can now join or leave communities directly from the sidebar.
Member counts and profile avatars refresh instantly for a more responsive experience.
Each community now includes a dedicated Members tab showing who has joined.
Members also have full control over visibility through a new profile setting:
“Show me in the member directory.”
Community admins can now:
Pin or unpin any post
Delete any post or comment when moderation is needed
Behind the scenes, we also made several infrastructure improvements to support long-term scalability and stability, including:
Migration to Sequelize ORM models for Communities
Standardized profile ID handling across the platform
PATCH request CORS fixes
Expanded profile model support for community functionality
We also resolved several issues, including:
Pinned posts shifting position after new posts were published
Missing edit/delete controls for content owners
Admin delete confirmation dialogs not appearing consistently
More community improvements are already in development 👀
